While other releases tend to show a calmer side to the peaceful nation, this was apparently not the case with the adidas NMD.

With a Primeknit upper and a lightweight construction, the NMD R1 Japan Black comes in a completely black colourway. The upper is made out of black Primeknit material and dons the signature Triple Stripes. At the back, there is a distinct pullout tab, making it easy to carry the sneakers around. The textured midsole of the shoe is black and covered by a black outsole. On the lateral side of the shoe, two tabs connect the upper to the midsole. Japanese text also appears on the midsole on the medial side of the shoe.

The ‘Triple Color Black’ is defined by its tri-coloured stripes and Primeknit upper. There are two black tabs connecting the midsole to the upper on the lateral side of the shoe.
