This collaboration between 1017 ALYX 9SM and Nike puts a good looking twist on an ever-popular silhouette. The entire upper of this high top sneaker comes in red leather, with smooth red leather appearing on the toe box and the midfoot while overlays appear in snakeskin leather, giving it a distinct character. The laces and tongue of the shoe also follow the same theme and come in red. This color carries on to both the midsole and the outsole as well. As a stark contrast to the red, you see Nike swooshes on both sides of the sneaker in black. Another design element on the shoe is a red strap that runs around the ankle to offer a snugger fit to the wearer. Nike branding appears on the back of the sneaker on the heel tab overlay in black, while the midsole of the shoe also features the AIR text just below the heel. Written in small golden letters under the Nike Swoosh on the lateral side is the 1017 ALYX 9SM branding, which makes a bold statement despite its subtle look.
