Novelship’s Hot Release Roundup: Aug 16 Week

4 Mins read

For this week’s Hot Release Roundup, we look an eclectic collection of sneaker releases, from the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 ‘Light’ to something more sharp in design, the Quartersnacks x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Little Debbie’s Zebra Cakes.’ We highlight the hot release roundup for August 16th week.

ADIDAS YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 ‘LIGHT’

The sneaker has an upper out of a light yellow Primeknit material and comes in a slightly transparent design that makes the lower layers visible. White patterns are visible below the upper along with a grey color as well. The laces on the sneaker are white as well, which matches the color of the sock lining and the high heel collar, while the pullout tab present on the back of the shoe comes in a light yellow. A large yellow stripe runs from this pull-out tab at the back of the shoe all the way to the front.

NIKE DUNK HIGH 1985 ‘ACID WASH RED’

The Dunk High 1985 ‘Acid Wash Red’ is not your typical high-top silhouette sneaker. The upper of the sneaker comes in a light brown color, appearing on the perforated toe box, midfoot, and the high top heel, while red and black acid washed patterns appear around the toe box, on both sides of the lace structure, and on the ankle overlays. Nike Swooshes adorn the sides of the shoe in a deep red color. The same color also appears on the laces of the shoe, which sit on top of a light brown tongue. For contrast, the midsole of the sneaker comes in a light yellow color that stands apart from the shoe.

BAD BUNNY X ADIDAS FORUM BUCKLE LOW ‘TRIPLE BLACK’

If you’re a fan of the artist Bad Bunny, or even if you just like shoes with triple black color blockings, this collaboration between Bad Bunny and Adidas comes to you in the form of the Forum Buckle Low Triple Black. Extensive use of leather, suede, and nylon has been made in the creation of the shoe, and the low-top silhouette sits pretty with a black buckle on the side. The iconic Three Stripes logo is visible on the side, all done beautifully in black to ensure a subtle change in color and tint.

UNDEFEATED X NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW ‘5 ON IT’

The collaboration between Undefeated and Nike is aptly named “5 On It” because of the 5 different materials used to make it. With leather, suede, and snakeskin included in the shoe, it is a beautifully designed sneaker that makes every head turn. An off-white upper includes the toe box and midfoot, while grey suede sits around the toe box, on both sides of the lace structure, and on the ankle overlays. The other splashes of color are not so subtle, as the Nike Swooshes on both sides come in blue snakeskin, while a bright orange label sits on top of the tongue. The back of the shoe features a deep red snakeskin overlay that has the words Nike Air embossed in white on top.
