As discussed in our look at Nike’s Move to Zero Sustainability<\/a> initiative, the fashion industry is the second-largest consumer of the world\u2019s water supply. The situation is so bad that there are approximately 4 liters of water used to produce a single shoe and about 1.49 KG CO2 emitted per shoe. With so much taking away from the natural environment, on this day of World’s Ocean Day, we pay tribute to some of the top sneakers that share their love for the ocean.<\/p>\n

AIR MAX 270 ‘OCEAN BLISS’ WMNS<\/h2>\n

The Air Max 270 Ocean Bliss is a women\u2019s exclusive sneaker that comes in a modern design and contrasting elements that give it a beautiful look. The upper of the shoe comes in a light blue color tone, with perforations inlined patterns throughout the toe box, midfoot, and ankle, giving it ventilation and breathability. White Swooshes sit near the ankle on both sides of the shoe, while\u00a0<\/span>the back of the shoe comes in black color. The Air270 branding appears just below the ankle and behind the white Nike Swoosh. The sole of the shoe is what gives it its distinct character, as the front comes in white while the back comes in a contrasting translucent red color. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Air Max 1 Pinnacle Ocean Fog is presented in a ‘dad shoe’ aesthetic but is made with sturdy leather and suede material, giving the sneaker an upper-class vibe. As the name Ocean Fog implies, the sneaker comes in shades of blue, with the lightest blue appearing on the midfoot. The suede overlays adorn the entire length of the shoe just above the midsole.\u00a0<\/span>The tongue of the shoe comes in a light blue color as well with black laces sitting on top of it. On the back of the shoe, you can see the Nike Air logo with the Swoosh logo embossed on the heel counter. <\/span><\/p>\n

With a curved design that gives it a quite modern look, the Nike Air Presto Ocean Fog comes in shades of blue and white that mimic the waves of the ocean. The upper of the shoe comes in a blue and white color blocking with a toe cap in shiny blue, and a white Nike Swoosh on the toe box. The tongue of the shoe also features the same blue and white pattern with blue laces on top of it. A label on top of the tongue carries the Nike logo.<\/span>\u00a0The midsole of the shoe is grey in color and sports the Nike Swoosh in blue near the midfoot. It is covered by a black and blue outsole.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AIR JORDAN 1 FLIGHT 4 ‘OCEAN FOG’<\/h2>\n

With a high top and uniform color theme, the Air Jordan 1 Flight 4 Ocean Fog comes in a blue and grey color blocking with white splashes on places. The laces and tongue of the shoe are blue as well, while the tongue features Nike branding on the top.\u00a0<\/span>Perforations are also present near the ankle for more ventilation. The Jumpman logo appears in white just above the heel on the lateral side of the shoe, and extra eyelets can be seen on top of the toe structure. The midsole of the shoe comes in grey with visible external stitching running across its entire length, and is covered by a flat grey outsole.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fit of the shoe makes it comfortable to wear, while the signature lightweight material of the ultra boost means that the shoe is a breeze on your feet. The overlays appear near the midfoot in the form of the Three Stripes on both sides of the shoe in black.\u00a0<\/span>The laces are black as well, while a white stripe running down the tongue of the shoe features the Parley logo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
