The 5 Must Have Air Jordans From Netflix’s ‘Sneakerhead’

2 Mins read

About a week ago, Netflix aired yet another original series. This one centered around sneaker and streetwear culture, giving us an in-depth look inside the life and challenges of a sneakerhead.

Titled ‘Sneakerhead,’ the series consists of six 20-minute episodes produced by Complex Network, the show depicts what it is like to be part of the culture, illustrating the extremes of what it takes to be part of this rapidly changing industry. This comedic portrayal of sneakerhead culture unfolds the highs and lows of the resale market.

With so many sneakers showing up in the show, we take a look at five must-have Air Jordans that every sneakerhead should think of getting.

Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Concord’ (2018)

The Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Concord’ (2018) is an excellent shoe for people who prefer dual-tone colouring. It comes in black, white, and grey colour blocking. The sneaker is primarily white with shiny black accents on top that run across the entire length of the shoe, from above the midsole to the entire toe box. The white laces sit atop the white tongue, with a translucent outsole. The black heel tab has the number 45 embossed.

Air Jordan 3 Retro OG ‘Black Cement’ (2018)

The Air Jordan 3 Retro OG ‘Black Cement’ (2018) comes in a white, grey, and black colourway. With a black leather top, there is a beautiful cement design that goes along the heel tab and below the toe box. The back of the shoe has the Nike Air logo in white, while the grey tongue dons a red Jumpman logo. Throughout the sneaker, there are gentle accents of red on the insole and eyeholes. The retro aesthetic of the shoe makes this a highly popular sneaker amongst the sneakerhead community.

Air Jordan 4 Retro OG ‘Bred’ (2019)

No one can go wrong with a black and red colourway. The Air Jordan 4 Retro OG ‘Bred’ (2019) is proof of that, as the blacktop shows grey and red accents throughout. You can see the red Jumpman logo on the black tongue, and other red accents on the outsole, just below the toe box, and in the back below the heel. This sneaker is sturdy and comfortable, making it a top pick in the list of sneakers seen in the series.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Bred Toe’

At a glance, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Bred Toe’ has exactly everything that made the Jordan brand so beloved and popular amongst sneakerheads. Coming in a beautiful red colourway, the high top silhouette dons the classical OG design. The toe box of the shoe is red, while the midfoot comes in black and white. The black Nike Swoosh sits atop the white midfoot, panning to a red lateral colourway. The ‘Bred Toe’ is a timeless sneaker and is undoubtedly one of the most popular Air Jordans to date.

Air Jordan 6 Retro ‘Infrared Black’ (2019)

This beautiful black sneaker is a popular pick amongst sneakerheads, with its sleek, modern look aesthetic. The Air Jordan 6 Retro ‘Infrared Black’ (2019) is a perfect shoe for basketball players and skaters alike. Unlike a lot of Air Jordans, there is no Nike Swoosh present on the shoe, but you can see the black Nike Air logo embossed at the back. Subtle hints of orange appear on the heel collar and the midsole, right along with the bubble cushion. Fans that love a more minimalistic design are bound to enjoy the sleek look of this shoe.
